About the Scholar
I research deeply, argue precisely, and write with the kind of clarity that makes complex ideas look simple. That's what I bring to every assignment, every time.
Twelve years of academic writing across history, political science, sociology, and international relations. An MA from Georgetown, a BA from Howard, and three years researching U.S. foreign policy at a D.C. think tank before that. I've written in every format, on every deadline, for every level from sophomore surveys to graduate seminars.
What I'm known for is clarity. Taking a complex prompt, a pile of sources, and a tight deadline and producing something structured, precise, and well-argued. I don't pad, I don't generalize, and I don't hand in a first draft. Every paper gets the same attention, whether it's a five-page undergraduate essay or a thirty-page research paper with a full Chicago bibliography.
I also spent a semester teaching undergraduate African history as a TA, which gave me something research alone never could: a clear understanding of what instructors actually look for when they grade, and where most papers lose points they didn't have to lose.
